Haitian Baptist Church to hold Augusta vigil tonight

Members of Saints Sanctuary, the First Haitian Baptist Church of Augusta, will meet for a vigil at 7 p.m. tonight to remember victims of the earthquake that struck Haiti on Tuesday.

Pastor Harry Augustin says he and several members of his congregation of about 40 have been trying to reach Haitian family members who were in the earthquake. They’ll use tonight’s vigil to organize funding and upcoming missions to the country. The vigil is open to the public.

The church is located at 3030 Milledgeville Road. Call (706) 421-7724.
