Investigators have arrested two youths in the smashing of 158 windows at Copeland Elementary School on Christmas Eve.
Investigator Shawn Newsome said the youngsters, 13 and 9, were charged at their homes Tuesday after causing about $16,000 worth of damage to the Jackson Road school.
The 13-year-old was charged with criminal damage to property in the second degree, a felony. The 9-year-old was charged as an unruly child due to his age.
Investigator Newsome said both were turned back over to their parents per the orders of juvenile authorities.
