AIKEN Aiken County Sheriffs deputies captured one of the countys most wanted burglary suspects.
The sheriffs offices charged Marquis Cummings, 26, of the 1900 block of Seaborn Drive, North Augusta with three counts of burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle and kidnapping, sheriffs Sgt. Dave Myers said in a news release. He was arrested around 1 p.m. today at a home Power House Road after the sheriffs office received a tip about his whereabouts. He was previously on Aiken Countys 10 most wanted list.
Between January and this month, Mr. Cummings burglarized three North Augusta homes in three separate incidents, Sgt. Myers said. In two of the incidents, he held the occupants at gun point. Investigators also believe Mr. Cummings took jewelry, electronics and a vehicle from the homes.
He is now being held at the Aiken County Detention Center.
