ASU falls by 36 on road

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Augusta State women's basketball team fell behind by 30 points at the half and lost 100-64 to Carson-Newman in their season opener tonight.

Carson-Newman (2-0) shot 55 percent from the field and forced 41 Augusta State turnovers.

Carson-Newman’s Ashley Kyle led all scorers with 20 points.

Blaire Egardo scored 14 for Augusta State. Jarquella Woods, Waneta Carlisle and Stacey Lampkin scored 10 each.



Savannah River Site resumes normal activity
