Angry restaurant customer throws back his mashed potatoes

A man got upset with his order and threw a carton of mashed potatoes at a restaurant employee late Friday night at the Popeye’s at 3209 Deans Bridge Road, a Richmond County sheriff’s report states.

The crime is considered a simple battery because the mashed potatoes hit the employee in the face. The man was angry because the potatoes had gravy on them and he said he had ordered them without gravy.

After throwing the potatoes, the man left the scene in a dark blue or black Chevrolet Impala with a Georgia Bulldog tag on the back, the report says.

The customer was described as a black male, about 17 to 20 years old, about 6 feet tall, weighing between 185 and 200 pounds, with a tattoo on his left shoulder and wearing a white T-shirt
