CHARLESTON, S.C. South Carolina first lady Jenny Sanford says she doesn't want to talk about her estranged husband's difficulties.
Jenny Sanford participated in a cancer run this morning in Charleston in her first official public appearance since separating from Gov. Mark Sanford this past summer.
The first lady moved to Charleston in August, two months after her husband admitted he had an affair with an Argentine woman.
The couple has said they are trying to reconcile. When asked Saturday how that was going, she said it was personal.
Jenny Sanford walked in the Susan G. Komen Lowcountry Race for the Cure, which raises money for breast cancer research.
The first lady's family has a history of breast cancer, and she has long been a strong advocate of cancer research.
