14-year-old Albany girl charged in stabbing death

ALBANY, Ga. — A 14-year-old Albany girl is being held in the stabbing death of a 12-year-old boy.

Landronda Hamilton was indicted as an adult. She faces charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a knife during a crime.

Investigators say Hamilton was mad at the boy because he threw rocks at her mobile home, so she chased after him and stabbed him in the chest.

District Attorney Greg Edwards told WALB-TV that Hamilton should face a jury in Superior Court because of the nature of her crime.

Hamilton's lawyer has entered a not guilty plea. Hamilton was being held in the Dougherty County Jail.
