Airport's Buster Boshears is planning to retire in January

William M. “Buster” Boshears will be retiring as airport manager at Daniel Field this January.

Mr. Boshears said he plans to step down after serving the airport since March 1997.

“I’m 65 and it’s time to retire,” Mr. Boshears said.

The 12-member General Aviation Commission, which oversees the operation of the airport, is beginning the process of finding a manager to replace Mr. Boshears.

His last day will be Jan. 1. Mr. Boshears left his post as executive director of Augusta Regional Airport in February 2008.



Savannah River Site resumes normal activity
