Nine Westobou shows sold out

Definitive attendance numbers for the 2009 Westobou Festival will take some time to compile, but one important statistic is already available. Nine Westobou performances were sellouts.

Every ticket was sold to the Avett Brothers show at the Jessye Norman Amphitheater, the Augusta Choral Society of Carmina Burana and the silent film showing of The General, the Making Faces workshop at the North Augusta municipal building and Keb’ Mo’ at the Imperial Theatre. The Augusta Opera’s Evening of Bel Canto at the Partridge Inn, the Blind Boys of Alabama show at Augusta State University and two of the Augusta Canal Singer-Songwriter cruises were also certified sellouts.
