Four sought in home invasion

Authorities are searching for four men who broke into a home Friday night and assaulted and threatened its occupants.


According to a Richmond County sheriff’s report, the men entered the home in the 3400 block of Old McDuffie Road about 11:15 p.m.

A resident said that as he was fighting with one of the intruders the man removed a small revolver from his pants and shot at him twice, striking him once on the left hand.

A 14-year-old in the home said that when he heard the suspects kick in the front door he got under the bed in the bedroom to hide. Two of the intruders picked up the bed and threw it across the room.

One then pointed a silver handgun at him and placed a book bag over his face. The teenager said that the suspect told him to be quiet or he would shoot him.

The complainant was not sure if anything was taken. He was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital. A spokeswoman said today that she had no information on his condition.

One suspect is described as black, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 250 pounds. He was wearing a red shirt over his face and had a small revolver. The second suspect is described black, about 30 years old, 6 feet 1 inch tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing a navy blue shirt and had a silver-colored handgun.

The third suspect was black, wearing a white T-shirt, and the fourth suspect was also black, about 6 feet tall and was wearing a blue shirt over his face.
