Two charged in Cordele deaths

CORDELE, Ga. — Two brothers have been charged with murder after two bodies were discovered in Cordele, and authorities say robbery was likely the motive.

Crisp County Sheriff Donnie Haralson said 26-year-old Corey Dennis and 27-year-old Amin Dennis were being held without bond in the county jail.

Authorities found a badly burned body Wednesday in a burned sport utility vehicle in a field. The identity of that victim has not been released pending identification at the Georgia Bureau of investigation crime lab.

Authorities on Thursday found the body of 36-year-old Harold Reese Jr. in woods near the field.

Haralson said both victims apparently died of gunshot wounds.

Haralson said the Dennis brothers were arrested after authorities received tips.
