Atlanta Braves center fielder Nate McLouth is headed to the disabled list with a sore left hamstring.
The Braves purchased the contract of outfielder Reid Gorecki from Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.
McLouth left Saturdays game against the Philadelphia Phillies after aggravating a hamstring injury that forced him to miss two games last week.
The Braves got McLouth on June 3 in a trade with Pittsburgh. He is hitting .258 with 15 homers and 56 RBI.
Gorecki was expected to join the team in time for Mondays game against Arizona. He was hitting .286 with nine home runs, 49 RBIs and 14 stolen bases for Gwinnett.
