Pizza deliveryman says same man robbed him twice

NORTH AUGUSTA -- A North Augusta pizza delivery man was the victim of an armed robbery twice in three days by the same man, police said.

On July 19, the 53-year-old victim attempted to deliver pizzas to an address on Bradleyville Road. While he waited for someone to answer the door, a black man dressed in dark clothing pulled a handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet, money and the pizzas.

The victim attempted to deliver pizza Tuesday to an address on Belgium Circle. When he knocked on the door, a woman told him to enter. He saw her on the toilet, stepped back outside and shut the door to wait. A man dressed in dark clothing pointed a handgun at his chest and demanded the victim’s wallet and the money.

The victim told the suspect that he had already taken his wallet July 19, to which the robber replied, “Oh, yeah,” according to an incident report.

The suspect told the man to leave, and the deliveryman returned to Pizza Hut on Georgia Avenue to call the police. The woman in the Belgium Circle apartment told police she never ordered pizza.
