Columbia police drop murder charge against SC teen

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Police have dropped a murder charge against a teen who was accused of killing an 18-year-old women in a backyard in Columbia.

The State of Columbia reports investigators have now issued warrants against 33-year-old Anthony Hackshaw for murder and several other charges in connection with the killing of Ebony Fogle in May.

Fogle was shot several times in the same neighborhood where an 87-year-old retired preacher was severely beaten in a home invasion several days before.

Police say they also want to talk to Hackshaw's wife.

Authorities dropped a murder charge against 19-year-old Johnathan Allen Bailey.



Savannah River Site resumes normal activity

A suspicious item was discovered Wednesday afternoon at the Savannah River National Laboratory which prompted emergency responseactivities.
