Police ask public's help in identifying drugstore bandit

Investigators are asking the public for help to identify a man who broke into a local pharmacy and stole cigarettes last week.

The suspect broke the front doors and took an unknown amount of cigarettes from the CVS Pharmacy at 1633 Gordon Highway at about 12:35 a.m. July 8, according to a Richmond County sheriff's report.

He is described as black, about 28 years old, weighing 200 pounds and 5 feet 7 inches tall. Anyone with information can contact the sheriff's office at (706) 821-1080.
