Fellow Augustan tied for 10th

CORDOVA, Tenn. - Augusta’s Michael Green shot 71 today in the rain-shortened second round of Southern Amateur and was tied for third when play was suspended.

Green was at 137, three strokes behind leader Mark Silvers (66), of Savannah, Ga. Silvers, who birdied five of the final nine holes, held a one-shot lead over Jonathan Khan (69), of Tucson, Ariz.

Patrick Reed, of Augusta, shot 68 and was tied for 10th at 139. Rob Bennett, of Augusta, did not complete his round.

After second-round play is completed today, the field will be cut to 66 players.



Savannah River Site resumes normal activity

A suspicious item was discovered Wednesday afternoon at the Savannah River National Laboratory which prompted emergency responseactivities.
