Win fourth in five in series

After a five-game series at Lake Olmstead Stadium, the Asheville Tourists left town tonight glad to see Augusta in their rearview mirror.

With a 9-3 victory, the GreenJackets took four out of five. Augusta, seventh in the South Atlantic League’s Southern Division standings, distanced themselves from the division’s last-place team by outscoring it 26-7 over the past four nights.

After spending most of the first half of the season at the bottom of the standings, the GreenJackets wrapped up their home stand winning nine of 11.
