Tigers ousted in second round

COLUMBUS, Ga. - Pacelli ended Washington-Wilkes' season, beating the Tigers 6-1 and 17-1 today in the second round of the Class A baseball playoffs.

In the second game, Pacelli (24-2) scored six runs in the top of the first inning and 11 in the second. The game was called at the end of the third inning.

Washington-Wilkes finishes 16-11.



Savannah River Site resumes normal activity

A suspicious item was discovered Wednesday afternoon at the Savannah River National Laboratory which prompted emergency responseactivities.
