Greenbrier student is honored as state STAR first runner-up

Greenbrier High School senior Emily Bragg was chosen first runner up tonight in the Georgia STAR Student contest in Atlanta.

She won a $2,000 prize, and her STAR teacher, Tracy Roden, won a $1,000 prize.

Ms. Bragg competed with 21 other finalists for the honor. She joined 10 other finalists, with a perfect 2400 on the SAT.

The STAR Student designation annually recognizes Georgia students with the highest SAT scores. It is administered by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators.
