Two children injured in Greenwood fire airlifted to Augusta

Two children injured in a house fire in Greenwood, S.C., Saturday are in critical condition at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center.

A 14-year-old boy and an infant were airlifted to the burn center, said a supervisor at the Augusta hospital. The mother of the children is also at the center, and is in critical condition.

Two other children in house were killed, according to a Greenwood newspaper.


Savannah River Site resumes normal activity

A suspicious item was discovered Wednesday afternoon at the Savannah River National Laboratory which prompted emergency responseactivities.
