Woman robbed at ATM

Authorities are searching today for a man who robbed a woman at a south Augusta ATM late Tuesday night.

The victim, who said she waited to report the crime because she was afraid, was withdrawing money from an ATM at Fifth Third Bank in the 2700 block of Peach Orchard Road around 11:45 p.m. when a man brandishing a black handgun demanded her money, according to a Richmond County sheriff’s report.
