The Richmond County coroner says he continues to hear from family members after taking possession of cremated remains when a funeral home went out of business.
About 10 families contacted Coroner Grover Tuten after a story in The Chronicle last week reporting problems with Dent's Undertaking Establishment.
The longtime Augusta funeral home went out of business and closed, leaving the coroner with about 20 boxes of cremated remains.
Five of the families have been reunited with their loved ones, Mr. Tuten said. He plans to bury those unclaimed by the end of this month.
One such family member, Vera Hill Brown, of Detroit, tells her story in Saturday's edition of The Chronicle.
