FBI seizes records at business of ex-football star Arthur Marshall

The FBI served a search warrant at a Martinez realty company today owned by a man under investigation for mortgage fraud.

The search was executed at Arthur Marshall Realty Inc. this morning, said FBI Special Agent Anthony Russo.

Agents and other local law enforcement removed business documents and computers from the business on the 400 block of South Belair Road as part of the investigation, Special Agent Russo said.

Arthur Marshall is a former Hephzibah High School, UGA and NFL football star who filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last August for another business, Custom Contractors.

A local American Legion Post is also accusing Mr. Marshall of cheating members out of more than $77,000.
