Bobby Jones crash kills man, 26

A car crash on Bobby Jones Expressway killed a 26-year-old man this evening.

The victim, whose identity was not released pending family notification, was driving east about 5:30 p.m. when he lost control of his Oldsmobile Alero while attempting to exit at Windsor Spring Road, said Richmond County Deputy Coroner Mark Bowen.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from his vehicle when it hit the embankment and flipped several times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
