Police are looking for an unidentified man in connection with the theft of powerful sedatives from Aiken Regional Medical Center on Monday.

Aiken Public Safety released security images Tuesday of a man discovered by hospital personnel the previous day in a restricted area. The man fled when confronted, and an inventory later revealed 10 vials of propofol, a sedative used in surgical procedures, were missing.

The man was carrying what appeared to be an IV catheter, authorities said.
