Burglar trapped in liquor store

ATLANTA — A burglar broke into an Atlanta liquor store and then couldn't get out.

Police and the owner of Azar's Package Store found the burglar early Tuesday trapped inside the store, hiding in a restroom.

Authorities say the man moved a rooftop air conditioner and dropped through the hole in the roof.

Once inside, he couldn't climb back to the roof, and burglar bars kept him from getting out windows or doors.

Police say when found, the thief had his pockets stuffed with decks of playing cards, lighters and a bottle of gin.

Store owner Donald Azar says he recognized the suspect as part of a crew hired to clean the store last weekend.
