New SRS contractor announces six senior manager changes

Savannah River Site’s new contractor, Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, has recruited six new senior managers who are coming from positions within Fluor Daniel, Northrop Grumman, Honeywell and the U.S. Department of Energy.


Rich Slocum, the new vice president of site infrastructure and project support services, previously served as vice president of closure services and infrastructure for Fluor Hanford in Richland, Wash.

Dan Evans, director of strategic and mission planning, was vice president for energy services for Tetra Tech.

In her role as chief financial officer, Peggy Davis is responsible for the financial operations and most recently spent four years as controller at Fluor Hanford

Mary Ann Benischek is the director of information technology and documentation and information services. Her most recent position was in 2005 as vice president, cost competitiveness.

Special Projects Director Gary Coxon is responsible for interfaces with offsite entities. This includes a wide variety of activities in support of the Office of the President and the entire SRNS leadership team.

Jim Gaver, director of public affairs, co-founded Palmetto Partnership Consulting Services, LLC, an Aiken-based public relations firm. He also served for nearly 30 years as the public face of the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Operations Office, 25 years of that time as the Director of DOE’s Office of External Affairs.



Savannah River Site resumes normal activity

A suspicious item was discovered Wednesday afternoon at the Savannah River National Laboratory which prompted emergency responseactivities.
