Two arrested, three wanted for series of armed robberies

State and local authorities have arrested two men and are searching for three others in connection with a rash of armed robberies in Richmond and McDuffie counties.

Deputies in Richmond County arrested two men, Jocques Dickerson and Julian Johnson, both 18 years old, Thursday, according to Richmond County Sheriff’s Lt. Scott Peebles. They are suspected of robbing at least four convenience stores in Augusta and Thomson.

Investigators are searching for Torrence Marquis Haskell, 19, Thomas Bernard Patterson, 19, and Derrick Stubbs, 21, on robbery and firearm related charges, Lt. Peebles said. Both Mr. Stubbs and Mr. Patterson are considered armed and dangerous.
