Missing woman found

Authorities have found an Augusta mother and her two children who went missing Saturday.

Lt. Scott Peebles said Kateshia Allen, 21, of the 3000 block of Camak Drive, returned home on Sunday, Richmond County sheriff’s Investigator Paul Evans said today.

Ms. Allen left her home late Saturday with her 2-year-old and 6-month-old sons, accompanied by a man driving a burgundy sedan. She did not show up for work Sunday, and when her employer reached her with a text message, she responded: “My children are dead.”

Investigator Evans said one of Ms. Allen’s children had fallen and was not moving when she sent the message but he is now OK. Authorities are still trying to determine Ms. Allen’s relationship to the man who picked her up, but so far she has not pursued any charges, Investigator Evans said.
