Railroad work will close street in Grovetown

Motorists are advised to avoid Katherine Street in Grovetown next week while repairs are being made to a railroad crossing, according to Grovetown Department of Public Safety.

On Tuesday, CSX railroad will close Katherine Street at Horizon South Parkway to replace the rails on a section of track. Drivers can use Wrightsboro Road and Robinson Avenue as detours. Repairs should take two or three days, officials said.
