SPARTANBURG, S.C. — A Spartanburg man has been sentenced to prison after a seventh conviction on charges of criminal domestic violence.
The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reported that 30-year-old Terrell Lamar Meadows was given a one year prison sentence under an agreement between prosecutors and defense attorneys.
Meadows also must serve three years of probation, though Circuit Judge Mark Hayes said the probation could end sooner if he completes a treatment program and pays court fees.
Records from the State Law Enforcement Division show Meadows was first convicted of criminal domestic violence in 2001. The most recent case occurred on New Year’s Day.
The mother of one of his children said there was an argument and he pushed her into her vehicle and he then tried to run her off the road.
