Bond was denied Friday for the man accused of settling a debt by fatally beating his victim with a table leg Feb. 1.
Witnesses outside Paul’s IGA on Greene Street said that around 4 p.m., Earnest Dailey Jr., 37, was seen arguing with Jermaine Demond Little about money. Little was found minutes later on the pavement, bleeding from an injury on the back of his head, Assistant District Attorney Natalie Paine said Friday.
Little, 32, died three days later, but Dailey wasn’t arrested until March 14, on a charge of murder. Paine said several anonymous calls to Richmond County sheriff’s investigators established Dailey as the suspect.
