2 charged in Christmas Day shooting

A man and woman have been charged in a Christmas Day shooting on Irving Street.

Jerome Frank Suber, 35, and Latasha Ann White, 37, were booked into the Richmond County Jail Sunday on charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and two counts of aggravated assault. Suber has also been charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and White has been charged with possession of a weapon by a first offender.

Richmond County sheriff’s Sgt. Dan Carrier said Maurice Holland and his girlfriend Lataisha Hill went to Suber and White’s Irving Street home for Holland to give a Christmas present to his son. Following an argument between the two men, police said, Suber and White pulled weapons and shot Holland and Hill.

Holland and Hill were transported to a hospital with gunshot wounds but have since been released.
