Partridge Inn robbed early Monday

Richmond County authorities are searching for a gunman after an early morning armed robbery at The Partridge Inn.

 

According to an incident report, the gunman entered the historic inn at 2110 Walton Way shortly before 3 a.m. Monday, pointed a silver handgun at an employee sitting behind the counter and demanded money. The bandit took $65 from the cash drawer provided by the 34-year-old victim.

After removing $65 from the cash drawer, the bandit asked about a safe before he struck the 34-year-old victim in the face with the gun.

He was last seen exiting a rear door on Hickman and running toward McDowell Street.

The suspect is described as a black male around 25 years old and dressed in all dark clothing and a stocking cap.
