Crime follows music choice at club

A 39-year-old Augusta woman believes her vehicle was trashed after an argument over the music selection at a Laney-Walker Boulevard club.

The victim told deputies there was an argument between her and a 37-year-old woman at Mr. J’s, 856 Laney Walker Boulevard, about the music the 37-year-old was attempting to play on the jukebox around 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Later that evening the victim discovered someone had dumped a trash can on top her 2005 Chevrolet Impala. She told deputies she believes the woman she had been arguing with caused the damage.

The suspect, however, denied causing the damage, police said. She told deputies she went home with her husband after she was slapped in the face by the victim who didn’t agree with her song choices.
