Circle K worker threatened with box cutter

A Wheeler Road Circle K employee alerted authorities after she was threatened with a box cutter while working early Wednesday.

According to an incident report, the cashier unlocked the door at the store at 3744 Wheeler Road for two men dressed in camouflage after they rang the buzzer around 3 a.m.

Once inside, the men, one of which was carrying a box cutter, repeatedly asked the cashier if she was alone in the store. She responded “yes” and then inquired about the box cutter.

One of the men responded that it was for his own protection before he began commenting on how drunk he and the other man were, police said.

After again asking if she was alone in the store, one of the men came behind the counter with the weapon.

The 30-year-old clerk told officers she picked up a nearby chair and threatened to kill them if they came any closer.

The man told the clerk he would return with his pistol and then fled the store on foot with his companion.
