Atlanta teen mob attacks 2 on MARTA train

ATLANTA -- About two dozen teens pounced on two Delta employees on a MARTA train headed south toward the airport, according to media reports, including the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

A witness told Channel 2 Action News 20 to 25 teenagers swarmed onto the train after it stopped at the Garnett station just after midnight Sunday morning.

“Once the doors opened, it was a bum-rush of people,” a witness told Channel 2. “The next thing you know, they just started beating him.”

The teens smashed one of the victims in the face with a soda can and then took his wallet, the witness said. Meanwhile, the other victim was repeatedly punched in the face. A report filed by MARTA police identified both victims as Delta employees.
