Suspended deputy marshal reinstated

 

A Columbia County deputy marshal suspended in October following accusations that he threatened his wife was reinstated today after being found not guilty.

Deputy Marshal Vashion Staley was reinstated to duty after an Aiken County magistrate judge found him not guilty of criminal domestic violence, according to Columbia County Chief Magistrate Bobby Christine.

Staley was suspended in October after an arrest in Aiken County for allegedly threatening his wife over the telephone. The couple were divorcing at the time.
