Ga. soldier facing molestation charge

LUDOWICI, Ga. — Authorities have charged a Fort Stewart soldier with child molestation.

Long County Sheriff's Office says Sgt. Michael Quick is facing one felony count of child molestation.

Authorities allege that the radio operator in the 546th MP Unit has been linked to the molestation of a girl who is now 4 years old. The alleged incident is believed to have happened before Quick was deployed to Iraq.

Authorities arrested Quick when he returned on July 25.

Long County Investigator Tom Sollosi says an investigation is ongoing and further charges are pending. The Associated Press could not find a phone listing for Quick Monday.
