Graniteville boy, 17, arrested

Girls say he pointed pellet gun at them

A 17-year-old Gloverville boy was arrested Wednesday after pointing a pellet gun at two girls, according to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.

One of the girls told officers that she was arguing with her sister in their home when Shawn Bernard Doby pointed a gun at them and said he would shoot them if they told anyone, according to incident reports.

The children’s caregiver heard what was happening and told Doby to drop the gun. He ran outside the house, and officers arrested him in the area Wednesday afternoon. Officers also found a black pellet gun in the barbecue pit near the home.

Doby was charged with two counts of pointing a fire arm and booked at the Aiken County Detention Center.
