Bob served as organist/choirmaster at St. Mary\'s Catholic Church of Assumption and First Presbyterian Church, Waco, Texas: First Baptist Church, West Palm Beach; First Presbyterian Church, Lake Worth, Florida, Royal Poinciana Chapel, Palm Beach, Florida; St. Mark United Methodist Church and Covenant Presbyterian Church, Augusta, Georgia. He served on the Worship Committee of the Southeastern Synod of the Lutheran Church in America. He was a former organist/choirmaster at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church in Augusta. He lectured and played organ recitals for colleges, universities, the American Guild of Organists, and churches throughout the Southern states. He has designed many church organs and served as organ consultant to many churches in the purchasing of new instruments. He has been in demand as an oratorio accompanist at the organ and harpsichord and has judged choir and orchestra festivals in several states. He and his brother, Garvin, researched, designed and built the pedal extension for the organ in his home. In September 1994, Bob was elected Vice President of the Ellerbee Family Association of America, President in September, 1997, and President in 1998. He resigned in February, 2000, due to severe heart problems. He is survived by two sisters, Vivian Kahrmann, Windsor, Conn., and Jeanelle Ham, Tallahassee, Fla., several nieces, nephews and a cherished friend, Samuel Martin of McBean.
