When Brad and Maria Pierce entered the home market in 2008, they relied on suggestions of some close friends.
“They had just bought a house, and they told us they were still building,” Maria said.
Those close friends are now the couple’s neighbors in a quiet cul-de-sac in the Tyler Woods neighborhood.
The Pierces bought the home while it was under construction and had the opportunity to choose the paint colors and many of the fixtures. In the four years they’ve lived there, however, they’ve changed the home’s look, adding their own style to the décor. In the living room, there is a chevron pattern on one of the walls.
“I come up with the ideas, and Brad executes them,” Maria said.
Much of the color palette in the home is shades of gray and white with punches of bright, lemony yellows.
She also likes to punctuate her style with light fixtures. There are several chandeliers in unexpected places, like over the tub in the master bathroom.
