SCHOOL: Glenn Hills
HT./WT.: 6-4/170 pounds
HIGHLIGHTS: Williamson has become an immediate catalyst for Glenn Hills since moving to the program for his senior season. The standout guard has scored 18 points twice and 21 in his most recent game, a 68-54 victory over Richmond Academy on Dec. 1. Most of his points in the first three contests have come in the second half to close out wins, including a dominating second-half performance Nov. 28 against Midland Valley, and he went 12 for 12 on free throws in the second half against the Musketeers.
WHAT THEY’RE SAYING: “One thing about a kid coming from another school, the kids haven’t shown any jealousy towards him. He’s a great guy, good teammate, and the guys want him to have success. He’s been big down the stretch. The guys that have been here four years now, they don’t mind giving him the ball, because he’s been a tremendous asset down the stretch for us as far as having an extra ball handler and having the ability to make free throws.” — Glenn Hills coach Travis McRae
WHAT HE SAID: “The transition has been good. It’s been different, but once you get used to it and get on the floor and everyone is working for the same thing, it feels good. It feels like I’m at home. Everybody has welcomed me.”
