Willie Nelson says things have changed since he
began his involvement with Farm-Aid.
``When I first got into it, I
thought it would be a one-time
deal, but naturally it didn't happen that way,'' Mr. Nelson said
Wednesday in Columbia, S.C., where he held a press conference to announce
William-Bryce Stadium will be the site of an Oct. 12 Farm Aid
concert.

Rhamstine turns down
civic center job

better of coming to Augusta.
A day after the Augusta-Richmond County Coliseum Authority
voted 6-5 to hire the 41-year-old from Norfolk, Va.'s Scope
arena, civic center officials received a fax announcing that Mr.
Rhamstine was declining the offer to manage the civic center.

Mayor Larry Sconyers wiped his forehead. He could have used one of the
ice-cold sweatbands on sale Wednesday morning at ``Georgia
Tourism on Parade'' - a festival set up by the Georgia Department
of Industry, Trade and Tourism.
