ATLANTA - Billy Payne claimed the average summer
temperature in Atlanta was a pleasant 75 degrees when he bid
on the 1996 Olympic Games.
The ACOG president just didn't
tell international officials what
time of day that 75-degree reading was taken.

Martinez-Evans off to a good start

At the beginning of the year, kids in the Martinez-Evans Little
League were just looking for a place to play. Now, they're in a
position to play around the country.
Walker's team got off to a good start in the tournament on
Monday, defeating Northeast of Atlanta 12-0 in a game called
after five innings under the ``mercy'' rule. Alan Cannell allowed
only one hit and struck out 12 for Martinez-Evans.

A better mouse that won't
trap you in tails, buttons

Apply the spirit of inventing the better mousetrap to the world
of computers and you really do get a better mouse.
Today's mouse sports all sorts of fancy
buttons, and some have even evolved without tails (they're
cordless). One type of mouse that has really caught on is the flat
mouse, better known as a touchpad.
