Barney Rubble, Barney the Dinosaur and politicians helped an estimated more than 10,000 spectators celebrate July Fourth in Patriots Park. Though temperatures were high, most folks talked and walked and
ate comfortably. Bryce Pate, an eighth-grader at Lakeside
Middle School, found a particularly cool spot in a dunking booth.

It's Democrats vs. Contract; Republicans vs. Clinton

Lottery funds help ecology lab

AIKEN - Though it's nearly as difficult to explain as it is to
pronounce, researchers at the Savannah River Ecology Lab are
nonetheless grateful to be getting it.
It's called a Fourier transform ion cyclotron mass spectrometer
(FTMS) and promises to make detection of contaminants in
environmental settings a great deal easier.

to Bombers win
