Good Morning America to feature GreenJackets staff

'Doc at the Door' series visits Lake Olmstead Stadium

Members of the Augusta GreenJackets front office will be featured in an upcoming episode of ABC’s Good Morning America.

A television crew from the daily morning show wrapped up taping at Lake Olmstead Stadium Tuesday for a feature on health in the workplace.

GreenJackets director of game entertainment and marketing Lauren Christie said the show followed around the team’s staff and later offered advice on how to make healthier choices in the office. The feature, part of Dr. Richard Besser’s “Doc and the Door” series, is scheduled to air Friday morning on ABC between 8 and 9 a.m.

“They were looking for that all-american type office,” Christie said. “They highlighted healthy habits, good posture, smart lunch choices and things like that.”

The GreenJackets, Augusta’s Single-A minor league baseball team, are currently in offseason mode but the front office is staffed year round.
