GreenJackets rained out again

Double-header to resume Friday

Heavy rain has forced the postponement of the Augusta GreenJackets' game for the second night in a row.

The GreenJackets, who were rained out Wednesday night, where scheduled to play two seven-inning games tonight. The first pitch was delayed by a half hour, then the teams managed to play only 2 2/3 innings before more rain stopped play.

After another delay of more than hour and a half, the game was finally postponed.

The GreenJackets and Hagerstown Suns will resume play Friday at 6 p.m. Augusta leads 1-0 with two outs in the top of the third inning. Sean Nicol is at the plate with a 2-2 count and Mills Rogers is at third.

Joel Weeks provided the only run of the night with a two-out double in the bottom of the second to score Ryan Scoma.

Tickets to either rained out game can be redeemed for admission to any remaining regular season home game at Lake Olmstead Stadium.
