GreenJackets resume play of rain-suspended game at 2 p.m. today

After two rain delays totaling more than an hour, the Augusta GreenJackets' afternoon game against the Asheville Tourists was suspended Sunday. The two teams will resume play at 2 p.m. Monday, with the Tourists leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning.

After the completion of the postponed game, the two teams will wrap up the series with a seven-inning game later in the day.

The start of Sunday's game was delayed almost a half-hour by rain. The GreenJackets, winners of three of their past four games, fell behind early after starter Chris Heston gave up a pair of first-inning runs on four consecutive singles.

Augusta's Chris Dominguez and Luke Anders drove in runs in the bottom of the third to tie the game, but a fielding error by Dominguez in the top of the fourth allowed Asheville to reclaim the lead.
