GreenJackets throw third consecutive shutout

Crawford's RBI gives home team 1-0 win

Starter Zack Wheeler and reliever Mitch Lively combined for nine scoreless innings as the GreenJackets pitching staff ran its shutout streak to 36 innings in a 1-0 victory over the Savannah Sand Gnats.

For the second time in three nights, Evan Crawford came up with the hit that scored the winning run in the final inning. Crawford lined a bases-loaded single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to score Ryan Cavan for the game's lone run.

The GreenJackets pulled even with Savannah for first place in the South Atlantic League's Southern Division standings with the win.
